Description

The new Corredor del Henares Hospital serves a population of 136,000 inhabitants in the Madrid municipality of Torrejón de Ardoz and neighbouring municipalities in Corredor del Henares, such as Daganzo and Ajalvir.

The centre has a total built area of 52,959 square metres spread over four main blocks, block technician, hospitalization, consultations, facilities and surface parking for 130 vehicles and 12 ambulances.

In addition, it has 250 hospital beds, 10 surgeons, 12 dialysis stations and 6 delivery rooms, which will provide an improved service to this area of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. The project also consisted of remodelling and improvement of an existing 4,400 square metre specialty centre.

The purpose of this concession contract was to design, construct, finance, operate and provide healthcare; a pioneering contract and the first contract of its kind in the Autonomous Community of Madrid.

The hospital will take care of 95% of the healthcare needs of patients in their area using their extensive range of medical-surgical specialties and state-of-the-art technology for diagnosis.

FCC Industrial collaborated in this new health centre project, taking care of the electrical and mechanical installations and the communication systems.
