Improvement works San Juan del Sur Quay, Nicaragua

This project was carried out to improve the infrastructure conditions for small-scale fishing at the Port of San Juan del Sur in Nicaragua. The principal works included land reclamation by building walls made up of 27-tonne prefabricated concrete units that were driven by up to eight metres below sea level; the construction of a seawall made up of 750 x 4- and 5-tonne breakwater tetrapods and the construction of the building where the fished produce is processed by local fishermen (total amount of laid concrete: 5,100 m3).
